About the Author - Ford Brewer MD MPH heads a team which helps our patients add decades of healthy life. We use cardiovascular inflammation studies, medications and coaching. We also use use genetics, supplements (such as niacin) and biochemistry to improve longevity. Insulin resistance and Diabetes are key drivers of cardiovascular inflammation, as are Lp(a) sleep disturbances and periodontal diseases. These are actually more important than LDL. Heart attacks, strokes, Alzheimer's, disability and cancer are optional! At PrevMed, we focus on heart attack and stroke and Type 2 diabetes prevention by reducing or eliminating risk through attentive care and state-of-the-art genetic testing, imaging, labs and telemedicine options. We serve patients who have already experienced an event as well as those have not developed a diagnosis or event.
